Each bothy lodge includes a sun terrace, garden views, and a private balcony. Inside, a kitchenette provides a stovetop, refrigerator, and electric kettle, plus a private bathroom with shower and parquet floors. Additional facilities include a fireplace, barbecue, and free on-site private parking.
BBQ facilities, outdoor furniture, and a picnic area are set on a sun terrace. The bothies run off-grid with solar panels and use a wood-burning stove for heating and hot water; 4G mobile signal is available. Key access is via lock box, and smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and a designated smoking area are provided.
The bothies are located in a forest near Logie Coldstone, 15 km from Aboyne Golf Club and 19 km from Kildrummy Castle. Other nearby points include Huntly Castle (45 km), Craigievar Castle (21 km), and Aberdeen Airport (54 km). The area is a designated dark sky park, offering clear night skies.
Pets are allowed on site, and dogs can explore the forest walks and nearby hills. Board games, books, and baby cots (by advance booking) are provided. Families can enjoy den building in the woods and roasting marshmallows on the outdoor deck.
