The Lily Pod is a one-bedroom chalet in New Abbey with a private entrance and free on-site private parking. The holiday home has a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, oven, and hairdryer, and is non-smoking throughout. A spacious terrace is attached to the chalet.
The chalet sits on its own private parcel of land with a pond, a bridge, a stream, and a fire pit. Guests have the decking and surrounding grounds to themselves, with only a family of geese and a heron as neighbours. The field is home to cattle, and the night sky is clear and dark with visible Milky Way views.
The Lily Pod is a short walk from New Abbey Corn Mill and 12 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club. Rockcliffe is 23 km away, and Glasgow Prestwick Airport is 104 km from the chalet. Three forestry bike trails lie within 30 minutes of the pod.
The chalet provides a BBQ, cooking utensils, wellies for walking through the field, a torch, and an umbrella. Guests receive milk, teabags, brownies, games, and eco washing-up liquid and handwash. Electric vehicle charging is available overnight on site.
The pod has no phone reception, 4G, WiFi, or television, giving guests a digital detox. The pod is solitary with no neighbours, surrounded by nature. A host provides a warm welcome on arrival and is available to help during the stay.
