Adults-Only Countryside Cottage Retreat with Log Burner in Watchet
Slowley Farm operates as an adults-only property with two non-smoking rooms and free private parking on site. Guests have access to a garden, an outdoor fireplace, and a designated picnic area for outdoor breaks. Board games and puzzles are available indoors, alongside laundry facilities and fire extinguishers for safety.
The one-bedroom cottage includes a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private entrance. A washing machine and streaming services are provided in the living space, with heating available throughout. The cottage is an extension of the host's house, offering a private yet connected layout.
Slowley Farm sits 8 km from Dunster Castle, with Tiverton Castle and Holnicote Estate within reach. Exeter International Airport is 69 km away, making the property accessible for regional travelers. Cycling and hiking routes start directly from the doorstep, with local walks documented on a notice board in the cottage.
The private garden looks out onto neighbouring farmland, with animals visible from the property. An outdoor fireplace extends the usable season for evening stays, while the picnic area offers a spot for meals outside. Guests can explore Slowley woods on foot, following trails that lead to a local pub serving food and ale.
The host meets guests on arrival and provides a walkthrough of the cottage, including instructions for the log burner. Baked brownies and milk are left in the kitchen as a welcome gesture, and fresh flower arrangements are placed throughout the accommodation. Communication with the host is handled in person, with limited phone signal in the area offset by available WiFi.

It's a place that encourages switching off, with its quiet location and the restorative effect of being surrounded by nature.”
