Holiday lodge in Herefordshire with private gym, fishing lakes & pet-friendly grounds
Holly's Lodge offers a private fitness room equipped with a squat rack and Eleiko barbell plates, a rare find for self-catering accommodation. Guests can fish in the on-site lakes, which are stocked and accessible from the property's 4-acre grounds. Free private parking, a designated smoking area, and CCTV outside the property are provided for security and convenience.
The one-bedroom house features a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine, plus a dining area and a sofa bed. The living room contains two flat-screen TVs with terrestrial channels, and the private bathroom has a large walk-in shower. Each booking includes a private enclosed outdoor space with garden furniture and direct access to the grounds.
The 4-acre property includes a lake with water lilies, an apple orchard, and woodland for guests to explore freely. Walking routes through the gardens and around the lakes are marked, and benches are placed for resting. The on-site gym is available for guest use, and the owners keep their personal gym open upon request.
Holly's Lodge is 8 km from Hampton Court Castle & Gardens and Hereford Cathedral, and 7 km from The Courtyard Centre for the Arts. Hereford city centre is a 10-minute drive away, providing access to shops, restaurants, and the Mappa Mundi. Birmingham Airport is 106 km from the property, and the A49 road offers direct routes to Hereford and Leominster.
Pets are allowed at Holly's Lodge without additional charge, and the enclosed garden provides a safe space for dogs. The owners, Tracy and Brian, welcome guests with their own friendly dogs and cat, and offer pet provisions such as a dog towel and bowls. Families can request a travel cot and a pullout bed, and the property has a fire extinguisher and smoke alarms for safety.
“Holly's Lodge presents itself as a thoughtfully renovated retreat, its upstairs apartment feeling particularly cozy and well-appointed. The surrounding four-acre grounds, complete with fishing lakes and woodland, invite quiet exploration, while the hosts' genuine hospitality and willingness to share facilities like the gym add a welcoming dimension to this peaceful Herefordshire setting.”
